Kirkby Lonsdale - May 2004 Nobody could have dreamed of flying this weekend - not with the weather that was forecast. But, in the end, it turned into a cracker and most people got at least two flights, and some four. One pilot disappeared over the horizon heading for the hills and, although we didn't expect to see him again - ever - he came back with stories of stand up landings and ending up next to a brewery! Another tested the structural integrity of the local rustic masonry and found it not to be wanting. |
