Chairman's Chatter
Updated 11th March 2010

On Tuesday 9th we had a committee meeting at The Travellers Rest, Dave Marshall & I managed to get a good look at our club night launch site behind the pub and although at the moment it is still a little wet we were able to confirm its availability, we now have a key for the gate to be able to drive on but as it is also part of a public footpath you can walk on at any time. So that you can find it the map reference is SD530190, Andy and Joanne Parr, Oakfields, Runshaw Lane, Euxton, Chorley PR7 6EY on the OS map it is the house just to the east of where the power lines cross Runshaw Lane. The available launch fields allow you to get 300 mts from the power lines so they will not be a problem even with an eastery wind. From the committee meeting I can report that finances are sound, subs are due on 1st June, Meets for May, and August are in hand and we are trying to arrange a weekend at Barnoldswick later in the year. We have another committee meeting on 30th March before I leave for the antipodes, the committee will manage very well without me but I will be back to muck things up again in the middle of May. I look forward to seeing you on 16th March at The Travellers Rest or in May, good flying in the meantime. Derek G - chair@nwbac.com

Exam Revision
We will be holding an exam revision weekend on 10 & 11 April 2010 at Richard's offices in Bury. The day is open to all North West and Pennine members but please contact Dave Court to book a place. social@nwbac.com

Sunday Mornings
During winter we meet on the first Sunday of each month at 10-00am at different locations around the region. This gives us all chance to fly in different parts of the region and share a beer with those who live too far away to attend every social night.

Tuesday Evenings
We also meet on the third Tuesday of the month 8-00pm at the Travellers Rest, Shaw Green, A581 (close to The Mill) (Map Ref SD 530187)

Social events will take a back seat during the flying season. If you have any suggestions for social events Autumn/Winter 2010 please contact the Social Secretary.
